On April 10, 2025, the 18th "Logistics Day" took place - a Europe-wide day of action that makes the achievements and career opportunities of the logistics industry accessible to the general public. With 103 events and a total of 2,050 participants, the industry underscored its importance as the backbone of the economy.

This year, 114 companies, organizations, and institutes from Germany and other European countries participated, including Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, and Ukraine. The activities ranged from on-site appointments to virtual formats and interactive online offerings.

A special focus was on attracting young talent: The established career orientation event "From Clicking to Ringing" in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss offered students practical insights into logistics career profiles. In parallel, companies like Amazon, the Andreas Schmid Group, and Inform GmbH presented their logistical processes - whether through tours, bus tours, or webinars.

Amazon opened several logistics and distribution centers

Amazon once again participated as a premium partner and opened several logistics and distribution centers for visitors.

"This year's Day of Logistics was a complete success. At many of our logistics sites across Germany, we were able to provide over 300 visitors and numerous media representatives with an exciting insight into the world of modern logistics. Participants were particularly impressed by the interaction between our dedicated employees and innovative technologies - be it in automated warehousing, intelligent transport management, or efficient last-mile delivery," said Lars Krause, Regional Director Customer Fulfillment in the German Amazon network.

The insights showed why logistics is one of the most exciting future industries and what diverse career opportunities it holds in store, said the Amazon expert.

Promote Acceptance and Attract Skilled Workers

The "Day of Logistics" was initiated in 2008 by the German Logistics Association (BVL) and is now organized by the agencies Mainblick GmbH (Frankfurt) and Teamtosse GmbH (Munich). The goal is to create transparency, promote acceptance, and attract potential skilled workers. Participation in all events is free of charge, and information is centrally provided via the website www.tag-der-logistik.de and social media channels.

The next "Day of Logistics" will take place on April 16, 2026.
