PreZero in Sweden put its first electric truck from Volvo Trucks into operation in 2022. Now, the international environmental service provider, which belongs to the Schwarz Group, is investing in 35 new battery-electric trucks from Volvo. According to a recently published Volvo statement, this is complemented by investments in chargers at the company's depots in the Stockholm region.
PreZero has ordered 24 “Volvo FM Low Entry,” the first truck model from Volvo Trucks developed exclusively with electric drive. The Volvo FM Low Entry is an electric truck designed for safe and efficient urban driving. The company has also ordered ten “Volvo FM Electric” and one “Volvo FL Electric.”
All trucks are equipped with the "Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS)". According to the provider, this system allows effortless steering with full control and reduces the strain on the driver's arms and shoulders. Additionally, almost all trucks will be equipped with the new "Camera Monitor System (CMS)" from Volvo, according to Volvo. The CMS improves both direct and night vision and reduces the blind spot in the immediate vicinity of the truck.
