Just in time for the upcoming harvest, Nox is once again supporting farmers and agricultural businesses this year with a special weekend service. As the logistics provider announces, it plans to offer the service starting May 3, 2025. This is intended to ensure that urgently needed spare parts are delivered reliably and promptly to agricultural businesses even on weekends and public holidays.

The weekend service is designed as an extension of the established night express offering. Ordered spare parts – whether as small as a filter or as large as an engine block – are transported overnight regardless of the destination and usually arrive by 8:00 AM, in many cases even before 7:00 AM, at the recipient. This is made possible by bundling trips, utilizing a dense distribution network, and taking advantage of low-traffic night hours.

Eduard Siegle, Head of Strategic Accounts Agriculture at Nox, explains that the need for such fast solutions is growing, especially for the agricultural industry:

“The ongoing drought this spring is troubling the farmers.”

Nox closely coordinates with manufacturers and agricultural operations to be able to respond flexibly to their requirements. Jakob Kling, Client Success Manager Strategic Accounts, adds:

“We currently anticipate the weekend service to begin on May 3.”

A central goal is to minimize downtime during harvest. In times of increasing extreme weather events, shorter harvest windows, and climate-related uncertainties, even a few hours of delay could have massive economic consequences, Nox understands. If a machine breaks down, it could mean the loss of entire harvests during tight weather windows. The weekend service is therefore intended to prevent logistical bottlenecks from becoming weak points in the production chain.

The delivery of spare parts is contactless. For this purpose, Nox uses predefined, sealed storage locations or loading docks. If necessary, the drivers deliver the shipments directly to the field. A continuous tracking system documents every transfer within the supply chain. Recipients receive GPS data and a photo document of the deposit, allowing them to trace when and where the delivery has arrived at any time.

Another element of the logistics solution for the agricultural industry is the Nox Sterne Time Critical offering. This premium service is aimed at customers who require particularly time-sensitive transports.

Within 15 minutes, they receive an offer with all relevant information regarding the availability of suitable vehicles. Collection takes place immediately upon request; alternatively, scheduled delivery is also possible. Throughout Europe, more than 6,000 vehicles are available for use depending on transport needs.

Since April, Nox has been coordinating planning with the involved agricultural customers. Together, they analyze the harvest phases and define logistical requirements to ensure smooth processes. The logistics service provider sees its offering as an important contribution to securing harvest efficiency.
