This completes Europcar's largest single order to date with the commercial vehicle manufacturer, according to its own statements. Christopher Alting, Director Fleet at Europcar Mobility Group Germany:
"At Europcar, we place great emphasis on a reliable, efficient, and sustainable vehicle fleet. The MAN TGE not only offers high payloads and flexibility, but also scores with economical drives and modern assistance systems. This makes it the perfect addition to our range of transport vehicles."
Before the large order, Europcar had over 1,000 MAN vehicles in its fleet. The ordered vans with long wheelbases are tailored to the requirements of the rental business and feature a cargo space with a volume of up to 14.4 cubic meters. Christian Götz, Head of Van Sales at MAN Truck & Bus Germany:
“We are pleased that Europcar is once again opting for the MAN TGE. This large order confirms the trust in our product and the close collaboration between our companies. The MAN TGE impresses with high economic efficiency, driving comfort, and a dense and customer-oriented service network - crucial factors for the rental business and the diverse operations of Europcar customers.”
The latest MAN TGE models feature an expanded standard equipment, including enhanced assistance systems, an ergonomically designed driver environment, and an optimized cargo space.
Beyond the new vehicle delivery, Europcar intends to further expand its partnership with MAN. Therefore, solutions for replacement workshop vehicles and bridging delivery times are among the focal points. The close cooperation aims to optimize availability and minimize downtime. Christopher Alting:
“With our Europcar fleet, we cover a broad spectrum of mobility solutions - from light vans to heavy trucks. We have MAN vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 15 tons. They are reliable and very well-received by our customers - and their needs are, in turn, the focus at Europcar.”
