With the newly founded L.I.T. Speed GmbH, the L.I.T. Group is responding to the increasing demands in the logistics industry. The new subsidiary, based in Troisdorf in close proximity to Cologne/Bonn Airport, focuses on logistics concepts for time-critical industries where precise supply chains are crucial for efficient production processes – such as the automotive, aviation, and pharmaceutical industries. The service portfolio includes timely deliveries as well as the integration of just-in-time and just-in-sequence concepts for production processes.

“The establishment of L.I.T. Speed GmbH is a direct result of the findings from our market analysis and customer feedback,” explains Managing Director Andreas Janetzko, who leads the company together with Max Sommershof, and adds: “We see that digital supply chains and flexible logistics solutions are becoming increasingly important. We meet these demands with our new company.”

In addition to focusing on time-critical industries, the establishment of the company is a response to fundamental changes in global logistics. Sommershof explains:

“In recent years, we have witnessed increasing volatility in global goods flows. Container shortages, the blockage of the Suez Canal, and geopolitical crises are forcing companies to adapt their logistics. Many customers who traditionally rely on sea freight have increasingly had to switch to air freight to move spare parts or other goods more quickly.”

Diverse services

The company offers a wide range of services, from the short-term provision of vehicles for urgent special trips to the organization of worldwide air freight solutions. For particularly urgent shipments, on-board couriers are available to personally accompany critical goods such as spare parts or medical devices to their destination. If necessary, charter flights can also be organized to avoid delays in the supply chain. Additionally, the use of specialized vehicles for road transport enables fast and direct delivery, while technical couriers ensure safe transport and expert installation of sensitive components.

“Our goal is to always find a suitable solution – whether by road, air, or a combination of both,” explains Felix Kaiser, Head of Operations at L.I.T. Speed GmbH.

The integration of just-in-time and just-in-sequence concepts plays a crucial role in ensuring production processes are efficient and without delays. The flexibility and speed of the services offered pay off, especially in times of growing uncertainties.

“With L.I.T. Speed GmbH, we not only create fast transport options, but also provide the resilience that global supply chains need in turbulent times. Our offering thus meets the growing demands for a crisis-proof supply chain,” adds Sommershof.

Continuous Availability

L.I.T. Speed operates as an independent company but can access the network and resources of the L.I.T. Group when needed. This combination of flexibility and existing infrastructure enables rapid market access and high operational efficiency. Customers benefit from 24/7 availability, an initial quote within 30 minutes, and Europe-wide special trips that can often start within two hours.

With the main location in Troisdorf, the company plans a gradual expansion of its network to meet the growing demand for time-critical logistics solutions.
