Starting from January 1, 2026, the Grevenbroich-based company will take over the IDS depot area in Krefeld and thus, it claims, become a full-fledged partner of the general cargo cooperation. The contract was signed on March 20, 2025.
Successor for DSV
With the change to Spedition Kleine, the succession of the previous IDS partner DSV for the depot area Krefeld is also regulated. In the future, Kleine is expected to deliver around 800 shipments daily for IDS partners and feed around 1,200 shipments into the IDS network. The operational processing will be handled via the forwarding terminal in Grevenbroich. Michael Bargl, Managing Director of IDS Logistik GmbH:
“With Spedition Kleine, IDS is strengthening with an economically strong and innovative partner in the Düsseldorf-Krefeld region.”
The family-owned company has its own fleet of around 80 vehicles and generates approximately 90 million euros in revenue per year. The transshipment and storage capacities include a terminal area of around 8,000 square meters for cross-dock as well as 40,000 square meters of storage space for warehouse logistics.
In addition to national and international general cargo logistics, the freight company offers solutions for partial and full load transport as well as warehousing services. Sustainability is said to be a central corporate goal. The use of HVO 100 in the company's own fleet, electric tractors, and the development of its own charging infrastructure are already part of the corporate strategy. Kleine-owner and Managing Director Christoph Kleine:
“We look forward to close collaboration with IDS, their partners, and to jointly developing the logistics region of Niederrhein in a future-proof and customer-oriented manner."
