Once again, the logistics industry opened its doors to the public. On April 10, 2025, this year's Logistics Day, 114 companies, organizations, and institutes informed people about their work in 103 events across Europe, showcasing how diverse and future-oriented the economic sector is.
The day of action attracted 2,050 participants, according to the agency Mainblick. The vast majority of events took place in Germany. However, according to the press release, logistics players in Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, and Ukraine also opened their locations to visitors. In addition to on-site presence offerings, many organizers also offered digital formats.
This year's focus was particularly on promoting young talent. In the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, for example, students were able to learn about career paths in logistics through the event "From Click to Ring." This offering was aimed at young people from the 8th to the 13th grade and took place for the twelfth time as part of the day of action.
Practical insights were offered, among other things, through tours in Amazon logistics centers. The online retailer was, for the fourth consecutive time, a premium partner of the event day in 2025. Lars Krause, Regional Director Customer Fulfillment in the German Amazon network, drew a positive conclusion:
“This year's Logistics Day was a complete success. At several of our logistics locations nationwide, we were able to offer more than 300 visitors and numerous media representatives an exciting insight into the world of modern logistics. The participants were particularly impressed by the interaction between our dedicated employees and innovative technologies – be it in automated warehousing, intelligent transport management, or efficient last-mile delivery. These insights demonstrated why logistics is one of the most exciting future industries and what diverse career opportunities it holds.”
The Andreas Schmid Group and the Duisburg Hafen also opened their doors and gave visitors the opportunity to experience logistical processes directly on-site. The offer was complemented by digital events such as a webinar by Inform GmbH. The Aachen-based software company demonstrated through concrete practical examples how companies can improve their delivery capabilities with smart technologies and make processes more efficient.
A virtual press conference on the resilience of supply chains had already taken place the day before. Dr. Klaus Wohlrabe from the ifo Institute publicly presented for the first time the results of a company survey on supply chain strategy. Prof. Dr. Christian Kille from the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt supplemented the discussion with an assessment of the current market situation and the prospects for the rest of the year.
The next "Day of Logistics" is already scheduled: it will take place on April 16, 2026. Companies that wish to participate will once again have the opportunity to showcase their role in supply security and their innovative strength to the public.
