After a fatal accident on the Autobahn 81 near Zimmern ob Rottweil, the police are searching for the suspected perpetrator. According to their information, a search including a helicopter for the fleeing truck driver has so far been unsuccessful.

According to initial police findings, the driver of the semi-trailer suddenly changed lanes and clipped a car as its driver was attempting to overtake. As a result, another driver braked sharply to avoid a collision, causing a van behind him to crash into his vehicle almost without braking.
The 63-year-old driver was trapped and died at the accident scene. The van driver and another passenger were seriously injured.
