Prologis has acquired a 110,970 square meter industrial site in Pforzheim. The revitalization of the brownfield site of the insolvent Klingel Group and the development of a sustainable logistics property with around 60,000 square meters of usable space are planned, according to a press release from Prologis dated February 20.
The site was used for decades as a warehouse and logistics center for K-Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG. Since spring 2024, the area has been vacant. Now the location is to be developed with a new usage perspective and reintegrated into the region's economic infrastructure.
“With this property, we are expanding our site offerings in the Stuttgart region,” said Philipp Feige, Vice President, Head of Capital Deployment, and Co-Managing Director Germany at Prologis. “We are seeing strong interest from companies looking for space in Pforzheim.”

The ImmobilienSparkasse Pforzheim Calw and Falkensteg Real Estate were commissioned by the self-administration of K-Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG (the main company of the group) with the sale of the property.
