The software company Soloplan from Kempten is presenting two new features of the logistics software "CarLo" for seamless digitalization of document processing from capturing to archiving at LogiMAT 2025, which opens its doors from March 11 to 13 in Stuttgart.

The newly developed "Document Intelligence" uses artificial intelligence to automatically extract content from documents. According to Soloplan, the special feature of this AI-based text recognition is that the previously necessary configuration effort for document patterns is no longer required. Instead of manually training the system for recurring tasks, the AI automatically recognizes the relevant information in documents and structures it accordingly, Soloplan announced in advance of LogiMAT. According to the provider, the data is quickly and error-free transferred into the Transport Management System (TMS) CarLo.

This not only saves time but also automates the entire process of order entry, according to Soloplan. Handling is simple via drag-and-drop or fully automated in the background. Furthermore, according to the software house, the recognition of data from PDF documents has become more flexible and now works not only with frequently recurring patterns but also with varying documents.

At the end of the transportation process are invoicing and archiving: For this purpose, Soloplan presents the new audit-proof E-Archive as part of the "CarLo Cloud Services." "All legal requirements are met, so paper-based filing systems and fireproof storage media are a thing of the past. The data is stored in a protected cloud and is accessible both via the web and from mobile devices," Soloplan stated.

The e-archive supports the archiving of e-invoices, which will gradually become mandatory in the coming years. According to Soloplan, they also offer a suitable solution for this – the TMS CarLo meets all legal requirements for receiving, processing, and creating e-invoices. Additionally, according to Soloplan, both the e-archive and CarLo offer a dedicated viewer for displaying e-invoices.

The data of the e-archive is fully integrated into CarLo. As a result, according to Soloplan, an automatic synchronization takes place between the software and the archive.
