On April 1, 1975, the success story of HUSS-VERLAG began in an old apartment on Friedrichstraße 17 in Munich. Company founder Wolfgang Huss, with just two employees and his wife Karin, laid the foundation for today's established media company. In cooperation with Verkehrsverlag Jakob Fischer, the publisher started with the book project "How Far from Munich" – followed by other specialized books related to mobility and environmental law.

Just a few months after its founding, the publishing house presented itself for the first time at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 1975 – right alongside industry giants such as Daimler-Benz and MAN. In the following years, the company grew continuously. In 1986, it relocated to its own publishing building with a print shop at its current location on Joseph-Dollinger-Bogen in Munich.

Logistics, Transport, Automotive, Tourism, and Passenger Transportation

Today, HUSS-VERLAG employs around 75 permanent staff members and is a central information provider for professionals and executives in the fields of logistics, transport, automotive, tourism, and passenger transportation. Among the well-known professional publications are LOGISTIK HEUTE, LOGISTRA, Technische Logistik, taxi heute, busplaner, VISION mobility, Unterwegs auf der Autobahn, PROFI Werkstatt, and the newspaper Transport. In addition to print formats, digital content and event formats play a central role in the company's strategy.

"With pride, we can look back on 50 years of expertise in the taxi and bus industry as well as our beloved logistics. Unfortunately, my father passed away this January at the age of 84 and was not able to witness the 50th anniversary of his life's work,"

says Christoph Huss, Managing Partner of HUSS VERLAG GmbH.

Digital Knowledge and Networking Event CONFERENCE DAYS

An additional focus is on the CONFERENCE DAYS – a digital knowledge and networking event that the publisher initiated in 2021. The fifth edition will take place from May 12 to 15, 2025. With around 7,000 professional visitors and over 22,000 session registrations so far, the format has established itself as a fixture in the digital B2B event calendar.

Numerous Renowned Industry Awards

Additionally, HUSS-VERLAG presents numerous renowned industry awards, including the European Transport Award for Sustainability, the BEST PRO Workshop Brand, the International busplaner Sustainability Award, the BEST OF mobility Award, and the Supply Chain Management Award. The websites of the trade magazines have also developed into sought-after information platforms for industry decision-makers.

Within the HUSS group of companies, headquartered in Munich and Berlin, HUSS-VERLAG is a central component. The portfolio is complemented by HUSS-MEDIEN GmbH in Berlin, focusing on electrical trades and building technology, as well as EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH, which organizes, among others, LogiMAT – one of the world's leading intralogistics trade fairs.

Today, HUSS-VERLAG is led by Christoph Huss and Rainer Langhammer – and in 2025 it celebrates not only half a century of company history but also its role as an innovative and reliable partner for professional information in the B2B sector.
